Two-way sync, the same as we already do for Microsoft To Do: a task closed in Todoist closes in HubSpot, and a due date changed in either follows into the other.

What it would do

The same core sync taskCNX runs today, pointed at a Todoist project instead of a Microsoft To Do list.

Two-way, not a one-time push

Complete a task in Todoist and it completes in HubSpot. Move a due date in either and the other follows. This is the part Zapier-style automations don't do.

Real due dates and reminders

Todoist supports dates with a time of day and its own reminders, so a HubSpot due date would arrive as something that actually alerts rather than a line in a list.

Context, not just a title

Each task would carry its linked contact, company or deal and a link straight back to the HubSpot record — the same body we build today.

Worth knowing before you sign up

We'd rather say this now than have you discover it after switching.

  • The scheduling features wouldn't come with it. taskCNX can space your reminders across working hours you choose, drop tasks into the gaps between your meetings, and warn you when work is scheduled during an out-of-office block. All three read your Microsoft calendar's free/busy view. Todoist's API publishes no calendar, working-hours or availability data, so for a Todoist-only user those features would simply not exist.
  • Unless you're on Microsoft too. Calendar access is a separate permission from task access. A team already in Microsoft 365 could keep the scheduling and still have tasks land in Todoist — at the cost of connecting two accounts instead of one. That's why the form asks.
  • Todoist is a paid app for most teams. Microsoft To Do comes with the Microsoft 365 licence you already pay for, which is a large part of why we started there. Nothing wrong with paying for Todoist — just worth counting.
  • No date, no promise. This page exists to find out whether to build it. If we decide against, everyone on the list gets told.
